Manjit Virdi
Operations Director

I have been running successful business for a number of years. I will be responsible for overseeing, reviewing, and adhering to the budgets for Hazelmont, accounts, and other financial transactions and facilitation of day-to-day operations.

Favourite part of the role: Visiting the homes and chilling with the young people and seeing their self-esteem and confidence flourish with Hazelmont.

Interesting fact: I have played at Glastonbury during my musical days performing a traditional Indian percussion instrument called a ‘Dhol’.

Journey with Hazelmont: It was always a passion of mine to do some line of care work with young children. It all started with an informal meeting with Susan Rai back in March 2018 from there Hazelmont was born.

Susan Rai
Service Director

Responsible for developing the care, support and training of our homes, staff and Registered Managers. Susan has worked within Residential Care for over 15 years.

Favourite part of the role:  the best part of my job is to catch up with the children and they put a smile on my face, especially when I get to judge the talent contest.  

Interesting fact: I’m a bit of adrenalin junkie, I have carried out a bungee jump, sky dive and about to do the fastest zip line.

Journey with Hazelmont: Met Manjit Virdi back in March 2018 with an informal meeting which led to an initial agreement for three-month consultancy. Now its 2021 and I’m still here!! Bound by Hazelmont forever!!

Elizabeth Barrett
Responsible Individual

I have Over 40 year’s experience working with children, young people, and families. I have led a variety of management, operational, heads of service positions, social care consultancy, and training, including former Ofsted social care regulatory inspector.

Favourite part of the role: watching the staff and young children grow and develop. I have a passion for investing in staff wellbeing so that they can be the best version of themselves.

Interesting fact: travelled the world twice over, taking a year out every time. One of the most exhilarating and transformational journeys of my life!!

Journey with Hazelmont: started in April 2018 with Hazelmont, then took some time out and returned later to work on the growth of Hazelmont.
