Understanding My Journey

We strongly believe that it is paramount that we understand our children’s individual journeys. Once we have begun to have those discussions and understand their experiences, we can then develop a personalised support care plan which is individual to the child’s needs.

Nurturing Hearts & Minds

While many may see therapy as the last task in a long chain of positive steps, each and every Hazlemont home aspires to nurture and inspire beyond therapeutic support.

We believe that helping the young people in our care to develop as individuals and to follow their passions can be just as beneficial.

Emotional Resilience

Emotional resilience-based practices are core to us in preparing our children and young people for life outside of the home and adult transitions. Our staff team will provide support with building confidence and self -belief which will enable our children to learn new strategies and manage situations that they previously may have found difficult.

Our key ingredients to our model of care are:

  • Emotional well-being, trusting relationships, safety and stability

  • Healing the trauma and building resilience

  • Socialisation, a sense of belonging and a confident identity

  • Life story and future transition

Our Model ‘attune’

At Hazelmont we accept that each child or young person that walks through the doors of our homes will be unique. Unique in the interests they have, their life experiences and more importantly unique in their response to different therapies that will be available to them.

In addition, consultation and clinical supervision will be in place to support our teams development, understanding of the children’s difficulties, along with the development and support of appropriate strategies.
